Mama Mancini’s Salad Dressing

Salad Dressing – make it, don’t buy it!

My recipe is made without sugar, salt, preservatives. This is the dressing my Grandmother, Mama Mancini would make when I was growing up back in Brooklyn, a long time ago. I still make it to this day, it’s delicious. The perfect summer dinner in my home is a bowl of our Mama Mancini’s meatballs in sauce with some fresh grated pecorino, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, a chunk of rustic Italian bread and a salad tossed with my Grandmothers dressing. It really does not get better then that.

Ingredients

  • 1/2-cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4-cup red wine vinegar
  • 1-garlic clove minced very fine
  • 2-tbs minced very fine red onion
  • 1/2-tsp black cracked pepper

Directions

1

Add all of the ingredients to a mason jar.

2

Cover, and shake well.

3

Store in the fridge, and let come to room temperature before using.

4

Toss with your favorite lettuce!

5

Enjoy! ❤️ Dan Mancini
