Mixed Grill
If your planning on grilling today mix it up with different meats and vegetables. Hit the market and see what’s on sale and mix it up. Here I have Italian sweet sausage, chicken, onions, peppers and Tuscan Kale. I brushed everything with my BBQ sauce, I posted the recipe a couple days ago but added it here for you again today. Don’t be afraid to grill any vegetable you like including lettuce!
- 1 cup Balsamic vinegar
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 small or one large garlic clove, minced
- 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon minced habanero or other hot pepper (if you don’t want a little heat, don’t add the pepper!)
Directions:
- Whisk all the ingredients in a bowl.
- Simmer in a small pot over medium heat until the BBQ sauce thickens and has reduced 1/3 in size or 1/2 for a thicker more concentrated sauce.
