Simple Fast Tomato Sauce
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup onion sliced
- 4 garlic cloves sliced thin
- 1 28 oz can whole Italian plum tomatoes crushed by hand
- 5-6 fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbs butter
- 1 tsp salt and black pepper
Directions:
- In a large skillet add the olive oil, onion, garlic, salt n pepper and turn the heat to medium and let cook for about 5 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes and all their juice and the butter.
- Once this comes to a boil lower the heat add the basil and simmer for 15 minutes.
