Flat Bread in minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tbs olive oil
- 3/4 cup of warm water
Directions:
- Add the flour to a bowl then add the water, oil and salt.
- Using your fingers work the ingredients into a ball of dough.
- Remove the dough ball and kneed it for 10 minutes on a lightly floured surface.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal size pieces and then roll them into small dough balls.
- On a lightly floured surface work each dough ball into a 8″ diameter pizza shape , use a rolling pin to make it easier. I use a cast iron seasoned skillet (I use a drop of olive oil and wipe it around with a paper towel).
- Pre heat the skillet and get it very hot.
- Place the dough into the skillet and allow it to cook for about a minute per side. It will begin to bubble and that is when you will flip it. It should be a golden brown.
- Allow the other side to cook then remove it.
Simple to make and you can have fresh hot homemade flat bread in minutes!
