Simple Tomato Sauce
You will need:
- 1-28 ounce can of whole San Marzano tomatoes
- 1-tbs extra virgin olive oil
- 1-tsp salt
- 1-tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 2-garlic cloves crushed
- a couple fresh basil leaves
- grated Romano cheese
Directions:
- Remove the tomatoes from the can reserving all the juice and cut the tomatoes into quarters.
- In a large skillet add the olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes and salt.
- Turn the heat to medium and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add all the juice and the quartered tomatoes. Turn the heat to high. Once this begins to boil lower the heat a little and allow this to cook for 10-15 minutes.
- Always finish cooking your pasta for the last 2 minutes in the sauce.
- Serve with grated cheese and the fresh basil.
See it’s really easy, and it’s gonna be delicious too.
