Simple Tomato Sauce

You will need:

  • 1-28 ounce can of whole San Marzano tomatoes
  • 1-tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • 1-tsp salt
  • 1-tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2-garlic cloves crushed
  • a couple fresh basil leaves
  • grated Romano cheese

Directions:

  1. Remove the tomatoes from the can reserving all the juice and cut the tomatoes into quarters.
  2. In a large skillet add the olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes and salt.
  3. Turn the heat to medium and sauté for 2 minutes.
  4. Add all the juice and the quartered tomatoes. Turn the heat to high. Once this begins to boil lower the heat a little and allow this to cook for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Always finish cooking your pasta for the last 2 minutes in the sauce.
  6. Serve with grated cheese and the fresh basil.

See it’s really easy, and it’s gonna be delicious too.
