Ray’s Black Angus Steak Burger
When you want to make the best burger you have ever had, you ask the Best Old World Butcher on earth, Ray Rastelli the owner of Rastelli Market Fresh for his recipe. So that’s exactly what I did.
Ray’s Burger recipe is a Black Angus Steak Burger that he cuts in half, then he stuffs it with sautéed portabello mushrooms, red onions, and then tops it with cheddar and jack cheese – HELLO!
Here we go:
- Chop the portobello mushrooms
- Chop the red onion
- Ratio is about one cup of mushroom to 1/2 cup of onion
- Sauté this in a little extra virgin olive with a pinch of salt and pepper
- Slice the burgers in half and then stuff them with the stuffing
- Onto a hot BBQ or into a hot cast iron skillet till desired doneness
- Top with cheddar and jack cheese then close the BBQ lid or cover the skillet to melt. If using a skillet add a couple tbs of water then place on the lid, the steam will melt the cheese quickly.
Big thank you to Ray for sharing his recipe for this amazing burger.
