My Bloody Mary Recipe
Forget that store bought pre-made mix (where who knows what goes into that bottle or jar). Make my recipe and I promise you’ll never go back! I have found that the key to a perfect Bloody Mary is using real tomato juice, not from concentrate, if you can find it. If not use a good quality tomato juice. Perfect with Vodka or without, my version of this classic is easy to make and better the next day.
You’ll need:
- 46 ounces of real tomato juice, not from concentrate. If you can find it
- Juice from 1/2 fresh squeezed lemon
- 2 tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tbs fresh grated horseradish, less if you want it mild more if you are like me
- 2 tbs hot sauce
- 2 tsp celery salt (optional)
- 1 tbs course freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tsp of coarse sea salt
- Vodka
Directions:
Mix all this together and let it sit for 30 min then taste it and adjust the heat to your liking. Put some, not too much ice in a glass with 2-oz of Vodka more or less and fill with the Bloody Mary mix. Gin, tequila work great too. Also great as a virgin.
For the garnish I love a celery stalk with a wedge of lemon, simple.
Do you love bloody Mary’s?
