Homemade Lemon Ice Recipe
You will need:
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 cups boiling water
- 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of grated lemon peel.
- That’s it!
Directions:
- Bring the water to a full boil and add the sugar.
- Stir the sugar until it completely dissolves.
- Remove the pot from the heat and set aside until it comes to room temperature then add the fresh squeezed lemon juice and the grated peel.
- Stir this all together.
- Now pour this into an aluminum pan like a meatloaf pan or pie plate and place it in the freezer.
- Every 15 min for a half hour stir the ice then just leave it to freeze solid.
- Once it’s frozen solid, use a heavy spoon or ice cream scoop, and scrape the ice. Serve in a bowl or cup.
