Fresh Flat Bread
Flat Bread is so easy to make and the ingredients are already in your home!
Fresh Flat Bread in yes, minutes.
You will need:
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tbs olive oil
- 3/4 cup of warm water
Directions:
- Add the flour to a bowl then add the water, oil and salt. Using your fingers work the ingredients into a ball of dough. Remove the dough ball and kneed it for 10 minutes on a lightly floured surface. Divide the dough into 6 equal size pieces and then roll them into small dough balls.
- On a lightly floured surface work each dough ball into a 8″ diameter pizza shape, use a rolling pin to make it easier.
- I use a cast iron seasoned skillet (I use a drop of olive oil and wipe it around with a paper towel). Pre heat the skillet and get it very hot. Place the dough into the skillet and allow it to cook for about a minute per side. It will begin to bubble and that is when you will flip it. It should be a golden brown. Allow the other side to cook then remove it.
Simple to make and you can have fresh hot homemade flat bread in minutes! You can so flavor your flat bread by adding fresh chopped herbs or spices. Roll them into the dough the proceed. These breads are great for sandwiches, easy pizza or just as a nice great for a soup!
