French Toast
If your looking for a festive breakfast for tomorrow or for the family and friends staying over for Friday give my French Bread French Toast a try. After you assemble this French toast it needs to sit in a fridge overnight so make sure to get these ingredients today.
You’ll need:
•1 large French baguette
•8 large eggs
•3 cups half n half
•1 tsp vanilla
•1 tsp cinnamon
•3 tbs brown sugar
Topping ingredients
•8 tbs butter
•1 cup brown sugar
•1 tsp vanilla
•2 tbs maple syrup
Directions:
- Butter a 9×13 baking dish.
- Cut the bread into 1″ slices and place in the baking dish like I did in the photo.
- In a bowl combine the half n half, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and using a mixer, mix everything together.
- Pour this over the bread cover with plastic wrap and let sit in the fridge 10-24 hours.
- One hour before baking.
- Put 8 tablespoons of butter in a bowl then add 1 cup lt brown sugar, 1 tsp of vanilla and 2 tbs of maple syrup.
- Let this sit at room temp for 1 hour then mix this all together.
- Using a spoon scoop this onto the French toast slices, a little on each slice.
- Bake for 45 minutes in a 350-degree preheated oven and until golden brown.
- Serve with warm maple syrup
Enjoy!
