Chicken with String Beans
Chicken w String Beans I have been asked if I cook only Italian…… I was at #thefreshmarket and picked up some boneless skinless thighs so I made a quick stir fry. Delicious.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless skinless thighs cut into small bite size pieces. Dry with a paper towel salted and peppered.
- 1 large onion sliced thin
- 6 garlic cloves sliced
- 3 celery stalks chopped in small pieces
- 1 lb fresh string beans or more or less, your call
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- Black pepper
- 1 teaspoon canola oil if using non stick pan, 2- if not.
Directions:
- In a wok or large non stick skillet on a high heat add the oil,
- once hot add the chicken stir to coat with oil spread chicken to one layer and leave for 2 minutes
- Flip the chicken pieces and let cook on other side for 2 minutes.
- Add the onion, celery, garlic and string beans, chili flakes and quick stir for 2 minutes.
- Now add the stock and soy sauce and quick stir this for another minute.
- Check to be sure chicken is done and serve.
- It’s a simple stir fry and if you don’t like the soy sauce leave it out and just use the stock. If you want to thicken the sauce use some corn starch. Other than preparing the chicken the entire dinner was on the table in minutes. Serve it from the skillet and cleanup is really simple.
