BBQ Sauce
Easy BBQ Sauce to kick off my new Spring Page! When you see the recipe for my BBQ sauce, you will agree you need to make it.
It’s perfect for for beef, chicken, pork, vegetables as well as grilled fruit! It’s simple to make. I hope my home…made recipe also inspires you to create your own BBQ sauce! And if you do please share it! Take a look at one of my dinners using this BBQ sauce —BBQ chicken, sausage, Tuscan kale, onions and red peppers all with my BBQ sauce!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Balsamic vinegar
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 small or one large garlic clove, minced
- 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon minced habanero or other hot pepper (if you don’t want a little heat, don’t add the pepper!)
Directions:
- Whisk all the ingredients in a bowl.
- Simmer in a small pot over medium heat until the BBQ sauce thickens and has reduced 1/3 in size or 1/2 for a thicker more concentrated sauce.
- You can use it right away or you can jar and refrigerate for another day. I use this on pork, beef, chicken and vegetables like zucchini, eggplant and heads of romaine lettuce. Also great on grilled fruit like pineapple and peaches! Be creative this sauce is delicious and will work on many grilled foods.
Enjoy -Daniel Mancini
