A Healthier Version of MamaMancini’s Turkey Chili

A Healthier Version of MamaMancini’s Turkey Chili

Serves  6 people

Ingredients:

  • 2 packages of MamaMancini’s Slow Cooked Italian Sauce and Turkey Meatballs thawed
  • 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15 ounce) can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 4 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 chopped red pepper
  • 1 chopped green pepper
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
Directions:
  1. Add all the ingredients to a pot ( except the meatballs). Stir well.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Uncover and simmer low for 45 minutes.
  4. Cut the Turkey Meatballs into quarters and add to chili, stir and continue to simmer for 15 min more.
  5. Serve hot with chopped onion and shredded cheddar cheese on top.
