A Healthier Version of MamaMancini’s Turkey Chili
Serves 6 people
Ingredients:
- 2 packages of MamaMancini’s Slow Cooked Italian Sauce and Turkey Meatballs thawed
- 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15 ounce) can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 4 garlic cloves chopped
- 1 chopped red pepper
- 1 chopped green pepper
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
Directions:
- Add all the ingredients to a pot ( except the meatballs). Stir well.
- Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Uncover and simmer low for 45 minutes.
- Cut the Turkey Meatballs into quarters and add to chili, stir and continue to simmer for 15 min more.
- Serve hot with chopped onion and shredded cheddar cheese on top.
