Cast Iron Skillet Ribeye Steak
It’s crazy how easy this is and how incredible the steak comes out. Completely prepared in the skillet and in minutes. You could go to a steakhouse and spend $45-$60 for a ribeye or get your cast iron skillet out.
You’ll need:
- Steak
- Canola Oil
- 1 tbs Butter
Directions:
- Bring the steak to room temperature, dry it with paper towels and season well with salt.
- Heat the skillet on a high heat for 7-10 minutes.
- Sprinkle some water in the skillet and if it sizzles and evaporates quickly, the skillet is ready.
- Add a tbs of canola oil to one side of the skillet.
- Add the steak onto the oil press it down and don’t touch for 2 minutes.
- Flip and cook another 2 minutes.
- Continue cooking and flipping until you have cooked the steak to your preferred doneness.
- Then add 1-tbs of butter.
- Tilt the skillet towards the steak side and baste the steak with the butter for 10 seconds.
- Flip and do the same thing.
- Remove the steak to rest on a cutting board for 10minutes.
