French bread French Toast.

Good morning! You’ll need 24 hours to plan this incredible french toast so make sure to pick up the ingredients today. It’s gonna be worth it.

You’ll need:

  • 1 large French baguette
  • 8 eggs
  • 3 cups half n half
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 tbs brown sugar
  • 8 tbs butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbs maple syrup

Directions:

  1. Butter a 9×13 Pyrex or similar baking dish.
  2. Cut the bread into 1″ slices and place in the baking dish like I did in the photo.
  3. In a bowl combine the half n half, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and using a mixer, mix everything together.
  4. Pour this over the bread cover with plastic wrap and let sit in the fridge 24 hours.
  5. Put 8 tablespoons of butter in a bowl then add 1 cup lt brown sugar, 1 tsp of vanilla and 2 tbs of maple syrup.
  6. Let this sit at room temp for 1 hour then mix this all together.
  7. Using a spoon scoop this onto the French toast slices, a little on each slice.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes and until golden brown.
  9. Serve with warm maple syrup.
