Authentic Italian food

9/25/14 –

I grew up eating at the original Patsys on 117-118th street in Manhattan so the foods here in the deep south were a total culture shock to our family when we moved down here years ago, especially what they classify as “Italian” food! Thankfully I am able to make everything we enjoyed in NY and NJ for the first 30 years of our lives……have even managed to make quite a few converts to real Italian food here over the years. I tell the people if they want a decent or excellent example of the foods from NY or Italy then pick up a pack of your meatballs at the local Rousses market here in town. They must be listening to me because whenever I go to replenish my freezer supply there is only ever one lonely package left in the case!
