Homemade Lemon Ice Recipe

You will need:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of grated lemon peel.
  • That’s it!

Directions:

  1. Bring the water to a full boil and add the sugar.
  2. Stir the sugar until it completely dissolves.
  3. Remove the pot from the heat and set aside until it comes to room temperature then add the fresh squeezed lemon juice and the grated peel.
  4. Stir this all together.
  5. Now pour this into an aluminum pan like a meatloaf pan or pie plate and place it in the freezer.
  6. Every 15 min for a half hour stir the ice then just leave it to freeze solid.
  7. Once it’s frozen solid, use a heavy spoon or ice cream scoop, and scrape the ice. Serve in a bowl or cup.
