After asking me for my recipe, I had no choice but to share the truth.

I recently served MamaMancini’s meatballs to a group of friends…all of whom have Italian heritage and are great cooks.

After asking me for my recipe, I had no choice but to share the truth. I had purchased them online!

They were so impressed with them and I was very pleased to know that the taste I loved was deserving of their praise.

Wanted to share that with you and thank you for making it possible for me (a NYer born and raised) to find a product that reminds me of “home” even though I haven’t lived there in 33 years.

Buon Appetito!

Hello Judy.

Thank you for this wonderful email! It has made my day! It’s actually a recipe my grandmother taught me 35 years ago!

Where do you live?

Best wishes,

Now I’m in Maryland grew up in Brooklyn and Long Island.

I miss the quality of food in the NY area — of course, things like bread and water come to mind. (Ask any transplanted NYer and you’ll get the same response.)

The meatballs are so incredibly reminiscent of this little Italian restaurant that was walking distance from our home on the Island. I can still remember having a meatball sub there and never wanting to try anything else!

So, I thank you for sharing a taste of my childhood memory!

Looking forward to finding the meatballs in a store nearby. (I’ll never have to make my own again 🙂 …

Regards,
Judy A. R.
