White Sangria
My recipe for White Sangria perfect for a summer evening.
In a large pitcher add:
- 1 lime sliced.
- 1 lemon sliced.
- 1 orange sliced.
- 1 apple cored and sliced.
- Juice from one orange
- 5 strawberries sliced
- 2 bottles white wine, Sauvignon blanch or Pinot Grigio
- 1/4 cup of simple syrup-see below
- 1/4 cup of brandy
- 1 qt of sparkling water (optional)
Stir this around and place in the fridge to chill for a couple hours or up to 24 hours. Spoon some of the fruit into a large glass with ice and pour in the sangria. Top off with sparkling water. The sparkling water makes it light and refreshing!
Simple syrup-bring 1/4 cup of sugar with 1/4 cup of water to boil, stir and let cool completely.
