Ricotta and Honey

Ricotta and HoneyIf you haven’t had this…..you must make it.
If you have had it then you know what I am talking about. Ricotta cheese with honey, spread on some toasted Italian bread, is simply incredible.

 

You’ll need:

  • 1 lb of good ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • Italian bread

 

Directions:

  1. Take the ricotta and place it in some cheese cloth or in a mesh strainer and place this over a bowl
  2. Cover the whole thing with some plastic wrap and into the fridge for 24 hours
  3. We want to drain as much liquid from the ricotta as possible
  4. After the 24 hours place the ricotta in a bowl and whip it with a whisk till smooth
  5. Toast the bread in a toaster or on a grill pan
  6. Allow the ricotta to come to room temperature, 30 minutes
  7. Pour the honey on the ricotta and have more honey on the side for a drizzle
  8. Spread some ricotta/honey on the toast and enjoy
