Ricotta and Honey
If you haven’t had this…..you must make it.
If you have had it then you know what I am talking about. Ricotta cheese with honey, spread on some toasted Italian bread, is simply incredible.
You’ll need:
- 1 lb of good ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup Honey
- Italian bread
Directions:
- Take the ricotta and place it in some cheese cloth or in a mesh strainer and place this over a bowl
- Cover the whole thing with some plastic wrap and into the fridge for 24 hours
- We want to drain as much liquid from the ricotta as possible
- After the 24 hours place the ricotta in a bowl and whip it with a whisk till smooth
- Toast the bread in a toaster or on a grill pan
- Allow the ricotta to come to room temperature, 30 minutes
- Pour the honey on the ricotta and have more honey on the side for a drizzle
- Spread some ricotta/honey on the toast and enjoy
