Italian Inspired Burger on Ciabatta
Once you give my Italian Burger a try you’ll be hooked! I shape the meat to fit whatever bread I am using and in this case a 6″ long amazing ciabatta bread from Sullivan St Bakery.
For the Burgers you’ll need:
- 1/3 lb meat per burger (we will lose a good % of the weight when cooking)
- 1/2 lb 80-20 ground beef
- 1/2 lb sausage meat
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1/4 cup onion minced
- 1/4 cup chopped or shredded mozzarella
- Olive oil
- Ciabatta Bread
For the Topping you’ll need:
- Chopped roma or cherry tomatoes
- Sliced onion
- Salt n pepper to taste
- Olive oil
Directions:
- After you mix all the burger ingredients, form your burgers in the shape of the bread you are using, but make it bigger
- Brush just a little amount of olive oil on the burgers and sprinkle some salt n pepper
- Place on a very hot grill or in a skillet and cook till done to your liking
- Remove to rest for a few minutes
- While the burgers are resting place the tomatoes, onions, salt n pepper in a very hot skillet and sauté for just 2-3 minutes
- Brush a little oil on the inside of the bread and toast quickly on the grill
- Assemble your Daniel Mancini Italian inspired Burgers!
