Delicious Turkey Burger

Turkey Burger1 Turkey Burger2Yes turkey burgers can be delicious! Keep the ingredients simple,month over cook them and use different flavors to build your burger and it’s gonna be delicious. The reason I use the ingredients I posted here is because I find they are loaded with water and that adds moisture to my turkey burger. The parsley adds a nice flavor. You could sub, basil, cilantro.

You will need:

  • 1 lb of ground turkey I used all white meat
  • 1/2 -cup onion,
  • 1/4 cup celery
  • 1/4 cup parsley
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • salt
  • black pepper

Directions:

  1. Put the onion, celery, parsley, garlic into a food processor and pulse until all the ingredients are minced.
  2. In a bowl mix the turkey, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper and the veggie all together.
  3. Form your patties and place covered on a dish in the fridge. I let mine sit for a couple hours.
  4. Remove them 30 minutes before you are cooking them so they come to room temperature.
  5. Salt and pepper the patties and brush some olive oil on the burgers.
  6. I cook mine in a pre heated cast iron skillet. They cook pretty fast so be careful not to dry them out.
  7. When they are done remove them and let them sit for a few minutes.
  8. Serve on a bun with all kinds of toppings, cheeses, tomatoes, pickles, mustard, ketchup, salsa and different lettuce.
