Wild Mushrooms
This is a simple side dish to make and you can use the mushroom you like. Mushrooms have great flavor, this will make for a nice decadent side dish. I like mixing up all the loose mushrooms that are available this time of the year. If you use portobello, make sure to slice this thin as they do take longer to cook.
You Will Need:
- 5 lb of wild mushrooms or white mushrooms
- 1/2 stick of butter
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
Directions:
- Wash and dry the mushrooms and trim the bottom tips off the stems. Larger mushrooms can be cut in half.
- This is simple to makes take a skillet large enough to hold all the mushrooms and add the olive oil, onion and sauté for a couple minutes.
- Add the butter, mushrooms, salt and pepper. Mix this as the butter melts.
- Once the butter is melted sauté until the mushrooms are tender, this will take about 10 min.
