Simple Sides: Spinach
I love spinach and maybe it’s time to re visit this side dish! Instead of complicating this dish with all types of spices and sauces let’s just enjoy the spinach.
You will need:
- 1 lb Fresh spinach
- 1 tbs butter
- Pinch of Salt
- Pinch of Pepper
Directions:
- Remove any tough ends of the spinach stems and wash really well.
- Place the spinach in a large pot and add 1/2″ of water. Turn the heat to high, cover the pot and once the spinach wilts( a minute or two) turn off the heat and drain the water. Remove the spinach to a plate.
- In the pot melt a the butter. Once melted add the spinach back with a pinch of salt and pepper sauté for 30 seconds and serve.
